Green Party TD Paul Gogarty has welcomed today's announcement by Fine Gael Leader Enda Kenny that he is to take a pay cut next year, but said it represented a u-turn on his refusal to support a collective paycut for TDs and Senators on national radio this week.

Green Party TD Paul Gogarty today welcomed news that the Affordable Homes Partnership is to withdraw plans for a major housing scheme at St Edmundsbury/Woodville. This comes in the wake of a decision by the landowner Ballymore not to proceed any further with plans for housing following the publication of a Strategic Environmental Assessment by South Dublin County Council recommending a reduced amount of housing on the site.
