Notification of road closure – R405 Hazelhatch Road

Previously advertised and now approved by SDCC - From 23rd Feb to 3rd August 2026

"Uisce Éireann continues to deliver the National Leakage Reduction Programme, fixing leaks and replacing old, damaged pipes across the country, to provide a safer more reliable supply of water to Irish homes and businesses.

"We are carrying out essential works on the water mains between Celbridge, Co Kildare and Newcastle, Co Dublin.

"During this phase of the project, South Dublin County Council will also be installing 2.5km of surface water pipeline and four communications ducts along Hazelhatch Road. GMC Utilities are delivering these projects on our behalves.

"To safely and efficiently deliver these works, a road closure has been granted by South Dublin County Council and will be in place as follows:

From Monday, 23 February to Monday, 31 August 2026

Traffic flows will be diverted during this time with local access and emergency services access only.
