This update 29th September - tender process imminent
The project has progressed since my last update and tenders were due in recent weeks. The Council hopes to analyse submissions and appoint a contractor in October, but there's no indication yet for a commencement of works or the timeline involved. I'll update when more information becomes available.

South Dublin County Council is in ongoing discussions with the relevant landowner, Waterways Ireland, to obtain a Licence, to allow access on to their lands to construct the 4.6km greenway from 12th Lock to Hazelhatch.
This extension to the greenway has Part 8 Planning approval, but cannot proceed without this landowner agreement.
