In relation to C2 routing past Lidl Shackleton, see below a response I got last week from the NTA in relation to queries about this and a number of related issues including response on potentially increasing the number of X30 routes past Dodsboro and dates for orbital routes.
"Dear Councillor,
"I refer to your enquiry dated 5th October 2022.
"The Authority are implementing a route C2 diversion via the Adamstown Boulevard this weekend in order to get a bus service in the area as soon as possible. It will then be diverted to take in Shackleton/LIDL as soon as the necessary works at the junctions near LIDL and on the Boulevard are ready. This is necessary to allow buses to safely turn in and out of the new roads the buses will run along between LIDL and the Boulevard. We expect this to take around six weeks, subject to satisfactory progress with the works.
"A recent review shows that no additional capacity is required on route X30. As with all services the NTA will be monitoring this.
"Routes W2 and W4 serving Liffey Valley Shopping Centre are expected to start in the second quarter of next year. Final decisions on an implementation date will be made closer to the time."
